He is author of the CENLA Economic Dashboard, a publication monitoring the economy of central Louisiana that is distributed to 3,000 business and community leaders. Dr. Dupont is an officer of the Southwestern Council of Business Schools, and in 2019 he led the college’s effort to achieve accreditation through the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and 大学.

商学院 Creates CENLA Economic Dashboard
As many local business leaders question the impact that COVID-19 is having on the Central Louisiana economy, the Louisiana State University of Alexandria’s 商学院 responds with the creation of the CENLA Economic Dashboard.

Seeing the void in Central Louisiana, Chatelain contacted several community leaders including Dr. Paul Coreil, the 可靠的网赌平台 Chancellor. Coreil, knowing a large part of 可靠的网赌平台’s mission is service to the region. He knew exactly w在这里 to turn to quickly develop this project.
Leading the charge was Dr. 兰德尔·杜邦, Chair and Professor of the 商学院. Having completed similar reports at other institutions, his expertise was necessary. Dupont immediately went to work and began compiling data from multiple sources including Google, 美国人口普查, the Louisiana Workforce Commission, 等.
“Our goal is help business and community leaders monitor the economic pulse of central Louisiana,杜邦说. “With current and relevant information they can better meet the needs of the changing business environment.”
According to Dupont, the data exemplifies that Rapides Parish is doing what it needs to do right now. 然而, because of the lag in data availability, the full economic impact of COVID-19 in March and April will be more apparent in the coming weeks.
